Feasting, drinking, and dancing from party to party, the city’s high society experiences ghastly events.

Animal mutilations, female abductions to alien space crafts, horrific visions, unexpected pregnancies, births of hybrids, and even personal encounters with aliens are increasingly frequent, even when kept secret.

In one of those parties, Vera Wright, evading her taunting friends and estranged husband, meets Sam Waves, a journalist and author. He introduces her to those local mysteries, mingled with erratic politics and corrupted leaders, and begins to write another book, inspired by her.

While they comfort each other, Vera’s daughter, Veronica Junior, befriends Light, a strange homeless guy, who sleeps on a bench in the park. Becoming the mentor of the local girls who fall in love with him, and meeting various groups of aliens, this loner determines his universal future.

Following all those struggles as well as the tragic news, Junior reaches romantic maturity, and the tamed hearts learn their lessons.
