Famous, loved, and expecting to be a father, what caused Bruno’s tragic death? A heart attack or foul play?
Leroy receives an invitation to the home of the retired grand dame of theater, Eleanor Silver, widow of Bruno Davis, the giant of cinema. While Leroy attempts to unravel the maze of her memories, Eleanor suspects he is a snoopy reporter, but cooperates until she discovers that old photos of hers have disappeared.
Doris, who comes to help her aunt, as usual, in exchange for generous sums she invests in her failing enterprises, meets Leroy. The old lady is convinced they know each other and are conspiring against her, but she confides in Leroy, divulging intimate secrets from her past.
After the three watched “Death of a Tyrant”, the most acclaimed movie the couple had made, things became even more complicated. To outsiders, it presents the end of the historical war, when the Tyrant’s armies were defeated. To those who knew Bruno and Eleanor, however, it portrays their tumultuous relationship as they were finally expecting a baby. Dr. Shine, sponsored by Bruno as a youngster, shows them that truth is relative.
“Death of a Tyrant”, the first book in the “Remembering” series, brings this story in detail from the golden age of cinema to every home and computer.
